Hearing Aids

Georgia Ear Institute offers a wide range of fully digital hearing solutions for infants through adults to fit all budgets and lifestyles. If you are having trouble hearing, you may benefit from a hearing aid. If a hearing aid is determined to be the right solution for you, a thorough consultation with a certified audiologist will be conducted to find the right level of technology and style to best suit all the environments in which you live.

At your first visit we will perform a diagnostic hearing evaluation (audiogram) to determine the type and severity of the hearing loss. It is recommended you also schedule an appointment to see one of our Ear, Nose & Throat physicians the same day to receive the FDA recommended medical clearance for your hearing aids.

The second appointment is a consultation on which hearing aid is the most appropriate for you. There are numerous manufactures and models of hearing aids on the market and the audiologists at Georgia Ear Institute are committed to recommending the most appropriate models for your hearing loss configuration and lifestyle. You may place an order for your new hearing aids that day, or call us at a later date to place the order.

Once your hearing aid is received at our clinic, you will be called to come in for your hearing aid fitting and consultation including; hearing aid use and care information. Payment for the hearing aid is expected at this time and your 30 day trial period will begin. Within the 30 day trial period, you are scheduled for a return appointment to discuss the benefits and/ or difficulties experience with the new hearing aid(s). Any necessary modifications to enhance sound quality are made at this time by your audiologist. Throughout the hearing aids' warranty period hearing aid cleaning services, checking for proper functioning and fine tuning adjustments are complementary provided.

Please feel free to bring family members to any appointment. They will benefit from having a greater understanding of your communication abilities and needs.
